Here is an inexpensive, convenient way to earn ABIH/BCSP CM Points!
Hazardous Substances Management & Control Seminar Series Wednesdays, January 18 - April 26, 2006 3-6 PM, Berkeley Campus
UC-Berkeley COEH is offering a 13-session seminar series as a convenient and inexpensive way to earn ABIH Maintenance Certification or BCSP points. It is also a great professional development opportunity. Each session will qualify for 0.5 ABIH point. It is a new graduate MPH course that is also open to members of the professional industrial hygiene and safety communities.
Three convenient options: enroll in single seminars for $50 each, or up to 7 seminars (up to 3.5 points) for $250, or 8 - 13 seminars for $400.
Each weekly session is a stand-alone seminar. Topics include: · Hazardous Substances Regulations · Medical Surveillance · Risk Identification and Evaluation · Hazardous Materials Management · Physical Hazards · Waste Site Remediation · Personal Protective Equipment · Emergency Spill Response · Regulatory Response to Hazardous Sites · Preventing Future Problems
Speakers come from varied background - regulatory agencies and local employers as well as the University. All have professional standing in their specialty (physicians, industrial hygienists, regulators, etc.). The series is coordinated by Barbara Plog, CIH, CSP - Director of COEH Continuing Education, and Hank McDermott, PE, CIH, CSP - Industrial Hygiene/Safety consultant.
Please forward this announcement to your professional colleagues who might be interested.
