Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are a leading cause of worker disability and compensation. Prevention of MSD disability requires participation of managers, supervisors, workers, engineers, ergonomists, safety professionals and health care providers. A multi-disciplinary group of practitioners and researchers will describe current ergonomics programs and approaches that have proved successful in a variety of industries and companies. This program is intended for persons from all disciplines concerned with prevention of MSDs and associated disability. |

This course is intended for those who are responsible for the prevention of injuries (or worker re-injury) and illnesses in the workplace, particularly: safety and health personnel; industrial hygienists; occupational health care providers, including nurses and physicians; industrial, manufacturing and workplace design engineers; management and labor representatives; and physical and occupational therapists working with industry. |
