David Kahane
Forensic Analytical
Dave Kahane will provide a presentation on science’s most intriguing tool, and it’s use for quantification and speciation of molds during water intrusion investigations, renovation or construction activities. The capability of QPCR (Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction) was recognized by the EPA some years ago and led to the development of primers and probes specifically targeted to commonly encountered water intrusion molds. What revolutionized the field of forensic science now affects the way we practice industrial hygiene when dealing with bioaerosols, particularly in high risk populations. Come take a peek into the future.
Buffet: choice of four salads, fresh seasonal fruit and cheeses, Sirloin tips, Breast of Chicken Florentine, rice, roasted potatoes or Penn pasta marinara, seasonal vegetables, french rolls, chocolate mousse for desert, coffee and tea.
The Executive Committee will meet at the restaurant at 3:30 pm to conduct Local Section business. As always, interested parties are encouraged and welcome to attend.
Attending three dinner meetings is normally worth 0.5 ABIH certificate maintenance points.
